Our Story
With Love from Orkney
Originally set up in early 2020 under the name Peedie Party Packs, we started off offering reusable tableware & decorations hire for children’s parties within Orkney.
Due to demand we have since branched out & now offer a range of Eco-friendly books and gifts for children including our own branded collection. This proved so popular that in early 2022 we rebranded the retail side of the business as Peedie Pals.
As well as the “Peedie Pals “collection, we also stock a wide range of other small eco-brands including Rowdy Kind, Play Press & The Natural Crayon Company. We are also delighted to stock fair-trade items from Best Years & Felt So Good. Click here to see the full range of brands.
We use “ugly” packaging: reused boxes, envelopes and shipping materials, whenever possible, to reduce waste.
Say Hello to the Peedie Pals
The Peedie Pals are six cute characters who live in Orkney. They were created, for Peedie Pals, by talented local designer Sarah Sutherland of Buddy & Sparkle. Their main aim is to encourage children to learn more about nature & wildlife in their area.
Pebble Puffin
Pebble loves to play & explore outside with his friends whilst learning more about nature. He loves sustainable & plastic-free toys and especially loves his paper pinwheel.
Sel Selkie
Sel is a friendly Seal who loves the Sea and helping to keep it plastic-free! He is also our logo for our sister business: Peedie Party Packs. Sel loves the fresh smell of salty air!
Odell Otter
Odell is a very curious little otter. She loves making gifts for her friends, she also enjoys going exploring with Pebble. Odell loves spending lazy days playing with her friends.
Jenna-Bee
Our busy bee is the smallest member of the Pals but has a very big heart. She is always working hard in the garden and loves helping children grow flowers and vegetables.
Primula Puffin
The newest member of the Pals, Primula is very shy & kind, she likes learning about wildflowers and how to keep them safe. Primula loves watching the waves crash against the rocks.
Signy Shark
Signy loves the seas around Orkney. She is a little shark who dreams big, and likes to keep her friends & the sea safe. Signy loves nothing more than spending her days racing through the seas.
